    My brand new three day old storm 9530 replacement keeps failing to send messages. It gives me a system message stating 'Mobile Equipment Status Failed". This happened with my original storm 9530, and quite honestly, being that my new one is, well, brand spankin new, I am a bit upset with Verizon and RIM.

    First off, what exactly does it mean?

    And second, is there any way i could use this as some sort of breach of contract on Verizons end? Such as failure to provide adequate service?

    I get this all the time on mine as well, all connections (data, voice, sms, whatever) all just occasionally hang for upto 3/4 minutes sometimes!

    I've put it down to hardware fault and learnt to cope, i'd still take yours back though!

    Do me a favour and next time you see a txt do this, try and browse the web and see if that has hung as well!
