sorry if this is a duplicate thread, but i couldnt find any other current thread with helpful info.

i was wondering if there is any current OS, beta or hybrid, that fixes the issue where a picture taken in portrait goes sideways in MMS.

i am running the bbcrackman .114 hybrid v2, and for some reason i thought this issue was resolved but i recently tried .132 and went back down and now i have the same problem.

any advice or info on this would be greatly appreciated, it is the only issue that i have with my phone.

    thank you!!

I dont think thats an issue, because as far as I know, it has always been that way. I think the camera was meant to only be used in landscape to take pictures (camera button on top). Not that I agree with that, I think the phone should be smart enough to auto rotate.

Isn't there a way to rotate the pics?

Very annoying bug if in fact it even is one. Hopefully will be fixed in a future build

I'm using .132 and I don't have that problem anymore. I had it in previous builds, but not with this one. I also had the grey/black box with earlier builds which was equally annoying.

For some reason, both problems went away in .132.

Same for me. Had the problem with earlier OS's, including .86 which seemed to fix the grey/black box issue. .132 seems to solve both issues!

Thats what it did for me to. Solved both problems with .132 and .141. No longer need the MMS File and Keyboard file sitting around that we had to use for the previous builds. Rim stepped up and fixed that problem. Taking a picture in portrait and have it sent in portrait is a Godsend now

Mine was fixed in .132, so I didn't even dare upgrade since this OS actually works.

    Why mess with perfection?

I know it's fixed in the .148 OS. It is finally sending pictures correctly through MMS for me.

.148 has no issues with this and neither did .132 for me.

As a side note, if you open up a pic all the way in Media Player (picture viewer) and tap once on the screen, you'll get a toolbar at the bottom. One of the buttons on it is Rotate Picture.

Read through this thread: Camera: emailed pics sideways?. It should give you a better understanding of why pics show up sideways in some cases and not in others. Finewolf explained it in post #8.
