I'm trying to find out where to get one, with no luck. I hate to have to rebuy a couple usb cables especially when at one website they go for like 15-20 bucks a pop. Anyone?

Go to amazon.com and enter "mini micro usb adapter" in the search window.

You'll see some adapters for less than $5 including shipping ($1.60 + about $3 shipping).

A whole lot cheaper than buying new USB cables, new car chargers, etc., plus you can use the same chargers with both old and new phones.

Yeah I saw that Motorola adapter. The description almost made it seem like it only worked for those specific phones. Would that work with any micro and mini? Theres a review on that qdepot link that says it didn't wanna work with his blackberry or something like that.

So is MicroUSB supposed to be the "new thing"? Just curious why BB decided to go that route instead of staying with MiniUSB.

Supposedly, the micro-USB is the new standard.

FYI, I've had the $1.60 adapter for a couple of days now. It works fine for charging and for data transfer. I just ordered another two of them, so I can keep one in the office, one in the car, and one in the house.

Yes, a wall travel charger and a micro USB cable com in the box. But anyone with a previous BB already has additional mini-USB chargers. You need a mini-to-micro adapter to be able to use them. That's what this thread is about.

I bought a bunch of the Motorola versions and they are great, whats nice is that there is a lanyard loop so you can tie it to the cable its being used on so that in the event it were to come loose or fall off, its doesnt get too far....

I have also been useing these adapters with some Non-Standard wall chargers and am having success.

Correct me if i am wrong but isn't this the opposite of what we're looking for? This is Micro to Mini conversion. I believe we're looking for Mini to Micro conversion.

    Got this one too.

Only problem is it's only a charging cable. At least for me it is.

You can put the adapter on another USB cable, say a camera one and it will charge and do data xfer.

Only can get charge with the rocketfish cable and adapter combo.
