My Device memory states 879.2MB and free 878.9MB
meaning only .3 MB is used.

I have downloaded tons of apps and device memory never changes.
Why is this memory not utilized. My application free memory started with about 45MB now running at 30MB

Seems like you will never be able to utilize the 1GB on board.
Is this an OS issue? Can someone shed some light on this matter.

    Thanks

Not sure about apps bit if you start saving photos, mp3, etc to your device instead of your sim card then that memory will get used up. Does anyone know if you can save apps to your card ?

I am not sure why RIM would separate the app and device memory.
because the app memory is always low and i notice the device really gets slow once you are under 30MB

with almost 900MB free it seems like a waste or improper memory allocation.
Wondering if anybody knows why the separation or how to utilize so apps run on the device memory. Perhaps RIM got this wrong or should have created a bigger slice for app memory
