    I have a lil over 800 songs and my media card has 3.3 gb in free space and on the device it had 879 mb i thought this thing came with 8 gb or i think it could hold alot more or is something wrong?

    Is it just me, or are those numbers just approximate. My memory card had about 7.25GB on it when it was brand new out of the box.

    All memory devices have less available then it actually is. i.e. a 300GB hard drive has 286GB of usable storage. Just the way that it works

    It will also depend on the quality of the music when you ripped it. If you have it on the highest quality, they will take up a lot more room, and 800 songs is a lot as it is...

    I would imagine the 800 songs is eating up quite a few gigs..
