Yes it is better. Its funny after using my storm2 for a few days now my storm1 just felt clunky and unfinished, which I just sold for 160

I think so as well. It is either conforming to me or I am conforming to it but it seems as time goes on and I continue to gain experience with it, I become smoother in operating it and we get over the glitches, bugs and start to work around problems. Now if I can just take the factory plastic off(*shudders*) Ill be fine.

I took my Storm1 back to Costco. (still under there 90 day return policy) and repurhased a storm 2, Not to mention I got he rebate price which was 179.99. My storm 1 originally cost me 249.99 like most people. Gotta love it.
The Storm2 is so Awesome. the more I play with it the more I Love. Its as if its glued to my hands. I cant seem to put it down. Can we say Addict.

Nice posts ppl. Glad to hear the phone is working out well for you all. Sure looks like lots of love for the S2 and not much in the bugs or b*tches. Lots different than the release of the S1. I can't do a early upgrade until Dec 13th and still not sure if I will upgrade, this S1 has still been the best cell phone I've ever had in 20+years of having one. Must say though, that threads like this one get me looking at the calendar. The S2 doesnt have the landscape dimming bug does it? That right there might just push me over the edge

Gotta wonder though, what the true differences would be if you just upgraded the OS in the S1 to v5.0. I'd be willing to bet that you'd possibly be happy with that, without having to upgrade to the S2.

I'm on .328. I really like it. Only two issues I have with it is the landscape dimming and I don't like how the layout of the SMS msg'er. Too much wasted space, can't read but a couple lines of text at a time. I don't really care about wifi but I do hear that people seem to be very happy with the improvements in typing with the S2. So if there is no dimming issue, better typing, more memory (never enough)...well that might just add up to a S2 for me Dec 13th. Both phones are dang good phones, ones just a new and improved model

Im really liking the new sure press and also the camera and screen resolution seem way better than S-1 to me. Did they improve the resolution of the screen? It seems much sharper to me.

I agree with the OP. I was against the Storm1 at first because i figured that the touch typing was going to suck vs having a physical keyboard. But after switching over to VZW and grabbing the new Storm2, I couldn't have been more wrong. This thing is blazing fast compared to my old 9000

Just thought i would chime in here and i am in total agreement. Normally, I really use the 30 day return window to determine if I really like the phone. With the S2, I turned my tour over to my wife within three days. Love the wifi as I now have data at my house without the long delays of switching between 3G and 1X. The memory has been fantastic as I havent dropped more than a couple of mg's for days at a time. I used to reboot my S1 daily. The screen technology is great and everything just seems to work. No looking back this time boys, the S2 is the bomb!!

With the updated 5.0 os on the S1 I could have continued to use it. It was like a brand new phone. The only reason I chose to upgrade was because I was up for renewal. I glad I got the S2...I'll never go back now!
