ok so im a newbie when it comes to the forums and bb but i am adventurous in the software. i just upgraded to .103 but im having problems with the gmail app. viigo, twitterberry, etc. it says that the network timed out. whats going on???

you are probably having the same problem I am having...it claims to be connected to the BIS but it wont do anything. No internet or data services available.

there are data issues right now on the blackberry servers. It probably isnt related to the OS

i can use the browser and go to pages just cant use the other apps, is this happening for the other versions also?

H2 yes just started an hour ago or so. I can use opera but nothing else. Not browser. I had .103 earlier today so I thought it was just a fluke of the OS install but apparently it may not be my handset

There was an internet outage at the time the OP posted. That probably was the problem. I called Verizon and verified. They said it was in the Northeast (USA).
