Maybe its just me but I installed .103, then did the copy for .109 and everything installed fine, no problems. Why are people saying you need to bother with .106?

I don't think they're saying to use .106, just that you would use the same procedure as one that involved .106, but to swap the .106 java files in the instructions with the .109 files...same procedure, different java files; if that was your question.
After doing all this, is the phone intentified as a 9500 or 9530 on the network? Like wen certain sites detect your phone?
Not sure why you would want this OS, but is pretty much like loading the hybrids out today. It would not make your 9530 a 9500 or your 9500 as a 9530. Sites will still recognize the type of device.
