I just being noticed by the verizon rep that they can placed a lost or stolen phone on a list (the MEID #), then if someone try to reactivate it, it won't be able to activate. So by doing that is that saying verizon can tracking phones that if someone has reported stolen or lost? is that true? does anyone knows how that list works??

When the MEID is reported stolen and put on the hotline list, that just means that the phone cannot be activated. Now if someone tries to activate it, the agent doing it will see that it was reported missing and the activation will not proceed. this is the only thing this does. there is no cell phone tracking unless software is installed for gps tracking prior to it being lost, and typically it has to be enabled by the user. Plus it has to be in service as well, which if it's on the hotline list, it no longer is.
