I tried a search for this and found nothing. I have noticed that when I plug in my 9550 I have a significant signal loss, on every OS/ Hybrid I have tried. I already get bad enough service at work thanks to being surrounded by mountains, but when I plug it in to charge, I get no service. Anyone else have this issue and if so, any fixes?

When charging you dont have it enter Beside Mode by any chance? In the clock options when it enters bedside, one of the selections is to turn radio off.

Could this be the issue?

nope, its like my radio just gets weaker when its plugged in

Then I don't know man. Hopefully someone here does have a fix. Maybe try *228, option 2 to update roaming capabilities.
