How do I get my Storm to put a 1 in front of the phone number in my call log so it will dial long distance so I dont have to try to remember the number and retype it with the 1 in front of the area code and phone number?

Save the contact with a one, or check under phone options.

Every number in my contact list is listed with the area code. I have never had to dial a one first. I call numbers in 9 different states.

Most wireless networks that I know of you don't have to worry about dialing the 1 before the number. You shouldn't need to add the 1 before the number.

In my phone book I have my contacts listed as 1 + area code + number. But when I get phone calls from people not in my contact list, the call log lists them with area code + phone number. If I try to redial that number and i'm outside of the local area, it won't dial it as long distance, it tells me i must dial a 1 + area code + number. Then i gotta try to remember the number and dial it as long distance with the 1 and area code and yada yada yada.
