I tried to get logmaid for my girlfriends storm since i already had .3 but when i put the link in her phone it gave her .4 then i updated aswell... i have no clue on whats new though!

No reason for this app.

I manually deleted my event log, and only saw a max ~.1 MB difference. It certainly is not the cause of the memory leak like some were saying.

from what I read, what you think is manually deleting the logs, does not actually delete them simply remove them from the list. Logmaid actually wipes them from your phone. I could be wrong though.

I know what you are talking about. It was the post saying how to improve the phone, where you hide the event log.

If you hit "/"/" then press BB button, hit clear log, then click "Delete" it will actually delete your event log. This is what gives you ~.1 MB

From what I understand that is all LogMaid is doing.
