So I upgraded to .113 yesterday (my first beta OS), and so far I like it a lot. My only issue is the Lock/Unlock functionality. When I lock the phone, and after the backlight goes off, it stays off until I hit unlock again.
Before, if i pressed the screen, during a lock, the backlight would come on, it doesn't work this way anymore, and I find it annoying because I can't quickly check to see if I have received an msg's. Is there an option to change this functionality?
They changed this way back in .90 or earlier. Basically its for extending your battery life. If you bump the screen in your pocket your backlight turns on, wasting your battery. Now all you need to do is tap a button.
That and you can use the little blinky red LED to inform you of messages...or vibrate...or any of the ringtones...or actually hit the effing unlock button...
