Been testing it since Friday. Unless you are using a program that is requesting GPS location, these apparently do NOT affect your battery. Every other day I turned both of these services on. Battery life was almost exactly the same at the end of each day regardless of having them on or off.
Now a program requesting GPS will drain the battery slightly more with assist turned on, because it is searching for towers to triangulate where you are.
Anyone have any other tests? As far as I am concerned, leave them on!
