Hi I just got the new Storm and I turned off the LED Coverage Indicator and it turned off the alerts for SMS and messenger off...I turned it back on under Options->Screen/Keyboard...but won't turn on when i have a new message or alert....I've tried taking the battery out and powering the phone down...

Any help would be appreciated...

This is why I love this forum, I was about to call VZW for yet another replacement then thought, "i'll do a quick search to see what others where saying about this issue". Thanks to this, I can keep a Storm that is otherwise working great.

Just goes to show, searching works!
