I'm not too happy with this release though.
The "white line" issue (that was easily fixable with the 1-2 row trick) has been replaced with a complete white screen in landscape or portrait.
I'm back on 328.
Unless of course someone can tell me which CODs not to replace to keep the way 328 handled themes

I've found the 2 folder in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9500EastAsia_v5.0.0.230_P4.2.0.61
So i just have to replace the cdma and java folder with the new one, and then run the loader.exe again right?
And is it okay to upgrade from 5.0.0.230 instead of 5.0.0.380?
I have run it over 402 and then 328.
Both work and it does overwrite, so as far as I know it shouldn't really matter, as long as its not like 4.7x
As for the exe installer...
It has the hybrid installer, so it looks and feels like a hybrid.
But when you look inside, it only contains the new files and not a COD mix.
Thanx Lyricidal

Nice one. Copied the CDMA& JAVA folders to my previous 402 install directory (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9500E_v5.0.0.402_P4.2.0.171) and fired up Desktop Manager to start the update. So far so good. Looking forward to seeing if they've tidied up those last few quirks that annoyed me.
Im on Vodafone aust and When ever I have tried to update to .428 (Or any o/s for that matter downloading via DM), the download modules process stops at random points (tried many times). and never continues.
I have tried re-installing DM, un-installing .402, no vendor file. Now im out of ideas.
I have done searches to try figure out whats going on but can't find anything.
Anyone have any ideas apart from Lyricidal's home-made version.
If you are Vodafone aus, shouldn't you want to keep your vedoor file perhaps?
What about the OTA, the "plug into pc to update" paths?
It is official for Australia and fiji so there shouldn't be any issues

I wasnt too impressed with this release at first, but I found the issue to be caused by BerryBuzz off the app store. Uninstalling it has fixed most of my issues. (Comparing to 328)
With BerryBuzz:
- Flick scrolling not as smooth or quick
- Phone used to feel quick, now feels like youre wading thru butter... squishier.
- Rebooting phone takes an eternity, even with battery pull.
Everything else seems similar to 328. If you're still on 4.7, then it would be worth the upgrade... but personally I think that 328 was a smoother build than 425.

Exactly what i thought too. currently running .402
OTA Wireless update says there currently isnt any updates available.
While connecting device to PC and either using DM or the link that was given at the start of this thread both have the same outcome. (download modules stage stops at random points)
all my sms msgs are grouped under on thread (title : 1010) since 5.0.0.328. i cant even send sms msgs. I receive all msgs under the number 1010. this issue continued in .402 n now .425.....please help
Hey guys do you happen to have a direct .exe link? I`m not able to download it from na.blackberry.com/eng/update and all the rapidshare links arent working anymore. Thanks
