I'm currently downloading the .exe update from ziddu.com, it's 127 mb in size.
My question is should I just install the update on my pc and then update my phone or are there any additional steps.
My storm is currently on firmware 5.0.0.328

I am new to the forums here. I have a Storm 9500 unlocked using T-Mobile. I got fw upgraded to v.4.0.7.186. I downloaded v5....425. How do I install it. BDM doesn't see it.

Hm, anyone else got the issue that after 1-2 days the radio doesn't work properly anymore?

I can make and receive calls, but the speech is kind of scrambled and hardly understandable. A sideffect seems to be that I lose 3G connectivity too and I'm on GPRS/GSM only. Not sure if it's the reason, but it seems to go along together.

After a battpull everything is working fine again.

Noone else noticed?

I would say either one works.

That's good because I've started using it already. Working well so far. Hope this works better than 5.0.0.216, had loads of problems with that.

all my sms msgs are grouped under on thread (title : 1010) since 5.0.0.328. i cant even send sms msgs. I receive all msgs under the number 1010. this issue continued in .402 n now .425.....please help

Delete all your old SMS and the problem should be gone. It seems the way SMS are stored has changed and old threads mess things up.

The only problem for me is that the caller Id stopped working properly. The contacts are there but when I receive the call the name/photo doesn't show up anymore only the numbers.

I have searched and haven't found anybody else with the same problem...

It was fine in all the earlier 5.0 releases. First time this happens. Any suggestions?

there is a problem i have noticed with a couple of the lastest 9500 5.0 os. veiwing pictures stored on the phone has a decrease in quality after the screen dims out. the only way i can get back my picture the the normal original quality is by going into options>memory>then repairing the media card. the pictures are temporarily restored back to its original quality. then when the screen dims the picture quality loses. i have noticed if i zoom in the quality is back to normal but when i zoom out it looks compressed.


i am running 5.0.0.425

those of you who have a 9500 running this software or higher versions do a battery pull and put the storm in the holster. then view a picture and u may notice the pictures are either alot smaller or the pictures are compressed looking.

plz someone look into this and help me out on what i should do because i like to view pics on the storm cause it looks excelent.

Think this is done on purpose to help speed up the Storm

I have a Vodaphone storm 9500 each link i'm able to download however when i try to install it it gets to �xtracting 9500 msi then says Windows Installer error, Error opening installation log file, Verify the specified log file location exists and is writable, there is no option to select where the install is downloaded...
