Ok, pretty much everything has been asked and answered about the Storm, and all we can do now is wait......but there is one more thing that I don't think has been talked about yet:
Is the Storm being manufactured in Canada or Mexico?
Generally speaking, right at release time, it'll be Canada units that you get. The longer you wait, the more of a chance you have of getting a Mexican one. Refurbs have also been known to be Mexican as well.
Like with most products nowadays it will be manufactured in a number of places. For the curve I've seen manufactured in canada, mexico hungary and a few more that I forgot.

I figured that was the case. IMO this is a case of Vista all over again. Word of mouth made the "Mexican" manufactured ones not as good in quality. I had looked into this theory with the 8300s. Yes, 8300, not 8310 and the first two had bad latches (exchanged) and were both from Canada. The last was Mexican and worked well. I just ended up selling it.
So what is the big concern? They make German cars in Mexico.
Maybe you guys are 'expecting' that just because it would be assembled in Mexico, that the devices would be of relatively lackluster fit and finish? It's just an electronics device, I'm sure they are all fine. Inconsistencies in build quality can be found anywhere.
As you pointed out, it's not a car. (Which I guess we can add to the description.....touchscreen, not a car). For electronics, rather than cars, Mexico leaves a bit to be desired.
