Ok here goes this may be kinda lenghty.
Last night I decided to venture out. BTW I live in the SF Valley.
Went to a mall VZW kiosk; the rep at the mall stated
he had only 5 Storms with 30 people on the waiting list.
I would also like to add there is a store in thet same mall
as well; that store I was told had only 5 Storms as well.
However I did get to see the dummy Storm finally NIIIIIIICE!
Alos the kiosk at the mall and the stor are both corporate.

Leaving the mall I decided to trave down the road a bit
to another corporate store. The greeter who enters your
name into the kiosk when u walk in; well I got her to open up.
Being tha babe magnet that I am. Or maybe she just felt
compassion for my well traveled a$$=( meaning old a$$; never claim it).
Well here is the conversation
below.
Greeter: Hi
Me: Hello I came to see what time you open I want to get the
the Storm.
Greeter: Are u a new customer?
Me: I answered yes ( with a guilty smile)
immediately followed by a no.
Me: I am on a waiting list; I want to get the Storm
whats up? What time will u open?
Greeter: We open at 7am. But honestly and I haven't
said this to anyone else. We only have about 50.
The ones we have at the store will be for
customers that don't have a VZW account.
Me: Is there a chance I can get one?
Greeter: Well u can come in but we will take your
name order it and u can come and get the next day.
Me: I was on a waiting list how many people wer on the list?
Greeter: 300 we took the names so we could call the customers
and let them know the phone was released. The kiosk
and the store in the mall
Me: Yeah I know they only got 5 each.
Greeter: ( friendly smile) Thinks to herself; he knows whats up.

So the upshot of this yeah VZW blew it. They are expecting big turnout.
I suggest u order through tele sales. I am however contemplating going to the mall to see if I can acquire one but hey a wasted vacation day.
So I will order probably through tele sales let the kiss my arse. Gte the better
pricing because the way the phone rep explained it to me. I would get the
$50 rebate along with anothe $50 off for ordering it off the phone.
Just so u know for those wondering yes I am a VIP and I did upgrade my
phone this last march. The reps will work with you so for what its worth yes a bit long but I hope this helps. Tele sales may be your best bet.
Maybe NY or the East Coast may have better luck.
