sometimes when i'm texting, and i go to push the !?123 button, my storm will get an error and reset. it resets to fast for me to notice which error i'm getting though. anybody else have this problem?

does the phone itself reset? cuz ive gotten one before where just the keyboard reset it sounded like from what the error read

yea the actually phone resets like i did a battery pull, and i have to wait for everything to reboot. it gets quite annoying. it'll happen a few times a day normally.

if i had to take a guess...id say try loading a keyboard cod from a different os and try it again? what os are you running?

uhm, idk i haven't really looked much into OS updates or any updates for my phone in quite a bit really...so i'm not too sure on if i need to update anything.

theres no official updates but i would say you could look into a leak...theres good hybrids out there or officials for providers besides verizon that you could check out... .141 has been running good with no problems i have encountered and .122 also was good, im goin to bed though feel free to PM me if you have any questions but theres plenty of info in the OS discussion forum

Getting my phone, granted prertymuch as soon as I got through the door I upgraded to the .141/50
OS. I didn't want to use .75 for any amount of time. This OS is good in all aspects and I would encourage
Everyone to load eith the .141 or .132 systems. Bat life is about 48hrs, no besets, keyboard is fast
, call quality is good, list goes on...maybe I just got a good phone.

which OS would you recommend?
and i'm not really sure how to update to one of the leaked versions, so if you wouldn't mind helping me out with that i'd really appreciate it

i would recommend starting there, great update that gave me no problems at all, an its an installer so that will make your life easier...start by downloading and installing that

after its done youre going to want to connect your BB and open up DM, if it asks you to upgrade anything hit CANCEL...we want to do a backup of your phone first. go to backup/restore and do a backup, just note where it goes, usually into My Docs.

next open my computer, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader

you want to delete the file vendor.xml from there

then, whil in that folder, run Loader.exe, it will check for available updates on your PC, then backup your phone again (we did the other to be safe), and then load the new software, then restore your phone. be patient as it isnt a 2 second process.

if for some reason it wouldnt load the loaderbackup to the phone, it is just because your phone didnt default back to mass storage mdoe. open DM and go to backup restore, click restore and then find the Loader BAckup which should also be in My Docs, if asked to put your phone in mass storage mode click Ok or yes or whatever it asks
