since i just got laid off i decided to mess with some stuff i usually wouldnt so
    i just went from .75 to .148.

question - does anybody else see a lag from pressing an icon on the main screen to when it opens the program?

i have battery pulled 3 times, and have no apps running and only 1 downloaded, memory boots at 40.8 and in the past 2 hours it is now at 38.

I haven't had any lag in launching apps. This doesn't really make since to me, but some phones seem to take a day or two of running a new OS before everything smooths out.

On mine, after a reboot, I have to wait about 5 to 10 minutes for the storm to do its thing with my filesy stem. Its very slow and unresponsive during this start up process. I have over 1800 songs and 3000 pictures on my flash card.

No apps are running, but what apps are installed? That makes a difference, too. Also, how many pics/songs are on your card like in the previous poster's situation?

Just the opposite ... been running .148 for five days and have noticed a few apps slow in closing. Other than that, its been smooth sailing thus far.

Same here. I makes no sense. On 132 it took 5-8 minutes to boot up. Everything lagged. I was about to throw the thing against a wall. 3 days later it was back to normal speed. I barely used the phone except for a few calls during that time. No idea what could have made it get back to normal.

I upgraded 2 phones...1 from 141 & 1 from 75. I had a lag for a couple days on the one I upgraded from 75. I did 3 or 4 battery pulls right after upgrading, & 2 each day for the next couple days. It works great now so I assume it just had to settle in.

FYI, it's normal for the memory on .148 (and all OSes for that matter) to drop, but mine has settled down at ~25MB and sits there for days (+/- 2MB). Don't worry if your memory drops initially, this is perfectly normal. The key thing is to watch at what point it settles down.
