i was typing on my storm today when the stupid thing switched to landscape from portrait. i was thinking maybe something rim could incorporate in the OS is a setup that makes the phone stay in one setting like landscape or portrait while the phone is being typed, or when you have your finger on the touchscreen it will not switch from portrait to landscape. i just thought i would bring that up, because i hear that rim reads this i guess it couldn't hurt to put this idea and any other ideas into a thread.

You would think there would be something to turn the accelerometer (or whatever it is that monitors orientation) off. I guess it is their first attempt with a orientation changing phone.
If not then I am sure someone has or can make an app for that.

yeah true i just brought that up as a potential fix to the people complaining about it switching from one to the other. i thought it would be a good idea
