Iphone Vs Storm 2 - Sell me
-
- - Please stop with all this Blackberry is for business users and iPhone is for kids and entartainment crap... I have a Storm 2, I'm not a "Business user" neither are the many friends and family I have who own a berry. Steve Jobs is one of the most business savvy entrepreneur in this world today...I bet I know what phone he's using on a daily basis
Business users are likely making a lot more critical calls, and the quality of those calls and the need for those calls to connect, probably weighs heavier in their purchasing decisions. Conversely, much of the younger generation relies more heavily on text and IM. If you're sending a text, you don't much care if it gets there in 5 seconds or 10. Which isn't to say there aren't non-business users who use BBs and business people who use iPhones. However, you can't deny the key demographics of the two markets.

- I too, liked that quote. I also agree that many people are blindly loyal to a fault. I love Blackberries, and I have for 2 and a half years since I got my first one which was an 8830. I also have an iPod touch that I use basically for music when I'm working out, but I've started to use if for some quick browsing and things while I'm at home. The wi-fi is like warp speed compared to my Storm on VZW w/no wi-fi. The apps and interface of my iPod are also beautiful, and frankly, more easy to use than any browser on my BB (including Opera to a point). I can see where basically adding the ability to make phone calls on that thing would make it an incredible device. The emails, while not push, are easy to retrieve and they also do something magical by loading images and html automatically. Which is huge IMHO when you're used to using a BB without that capability. Also, I'm from a relatively small town (~20,000 people) where the largest nearby city is St. Louis, and that's an hour and half drive away. AT&T service here is pathetic. You could be standing in the middle of town and not be able to place a call. But VZW is rock solid. This is basically the number one reason why I never considered an iPhone. But, don't get me wrong, as I said above, I love Blackberries, but I may be checking into the iPhone if it ever came to VZW as I can easily see the best of both worlds.
Just my $0.02 (now that I look at it, probably more like $0.04).01-26-10 11:19 AMLike 0 - It's a strange thing. I've owned four BBs. I've been very pleased with all of them. I purchased each of them because they were the best device available at the time of my purchase. However, I owe BlackBerry nothing. The next time I purchase a phone, I will assess my options the way I always have, and pick the best device for me, regardless of the brand.
Greg01-26-10 01:01 PMLike 0 - Honestly, these threads get so OLD and there are so many of the same SUBJECT MATTER, Storm vs Droid vs Iphone, as this has been stated a million times over I'll make it a million 1.
It all boils down to what suits your needs, try both and make the decision for yourself, these forums will give you some insight on the specs of the phones, but it's NOT gonna make the decision for you.
It will always be a split decision if you are looking here for answers, there's always gonna be fanboi's of any model of phone, so it's always best to find out for yourself.
