Okay I am trying something here and I need help. I am wanting to download the hybrid 141 from oneofakind. I downloaded the files to my PC and I cannot install them on the PC to get them onto my Storm. Please help this goofy guy.

did you use app loader?? did you delete the vendor file under r.i.m folder??

I deleted the vendor file yes. But I think my problem is more basic than that. The file I downloaded has the extension .rar and application loader does NOT recognize it.

1) Make sure BB Desktop Manager is installed...im sure it is

2) Install the .132 EXE setup

3) Run the .141 Hybrid setup and proceed with App Loader from there.

i know i am kinda dumb here but i cannot even open the saved file of teh hybrid. it is a .rar file and doesnt open. So I cannot get to a setum or exe file. I downloaded it from the mega site which was linked in a post.

You cant open the rar or dont have the rar software?

You need to extract the contents of the rar file first before you can use it with the app loader. Get a program like winrar to do this.

Get WINRAR and extract the files into the OS folder

C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Shared/Loader Files/9530_v4.7.0.141_P4.0.0.174

If you can't get this working, you can try lyricindal's hybrid. If I remember correctly, it had an exe download (http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/95...d-beta-204517/ then click the 9530 installer file link) to launch after installing .132. It's a piece of cake to install. No rar files needed.
