I was just on Seidio's website and they're currently developing an extended battery for the Storm. They say its capacity is 90% better than the standard battery. Now with that being said, I don't mind getting an extended battery (I pre-ordered the 1600 mAh already) but the 2600 mAh is supposed to be better but then again, it gives a bulky look to the sexy Storm with such a huge replacement door.... anyone think about getting one???

That depends on the bulkiness ultimately.

I may just carry around the Seidio one, and use the normal battery.

Does the 1600 one stick out at all? And did it say what the improved battery life was?

There are some threads on these floating around. The extended (1600) battery is the same size as the stock battery, but the "super extended" will require a new door.

Wow, the web site says it only adds 2-3mm to the depth of the phone. That might be of interest. At 2600 mAh, I should be possible to use the device all day and also watch a movie on the plane.

There's a picture on the front page of crackberry that shows the same super extended battery for the Bold. If the extended door looks anything like it does on the Bold, people won't be buying it.

I think I will stick with their slim extended battery and the factory Storm battery. Those two combined should be plenty.

The 1600 one does not stick out. It is made just like the normal one and its capacity is supposed to be 15% better than the normal one.

The 2600 sounds good also, but would you want the extra bulkiness of the door on the Storm??

Yeah, I doubt that I would want the bigger one, but 90% extra is so tempting, and 15% seems almost negligible (sp?) for me, since I charge almost everyday

I might end up buying the 2600 for my flights and use the normal one or get the 1600 for normal everyday use. If the 2600 is as good as people are saying, I might end up getting rid of the iPod.

Placed an order for the 1600 extended battery and will use the standard battery as a backup. Don't want anything bigger bulging out the back.

I wonder if the 1600 will be thick enough so I can take the credit card out of the battery compartment
    ?

Is there a chatter that can charge the phone and an extra battery at the same time?

I can't even consider the 2600 cause I just got 2 of those sweet docs. 1 for work and one for home. I'm sure the storm wouldn't fit in those with the 2600 extended battery. Think I'll be sticking with the 1600.

I've got the clear hard Verizon case so, I wouldn't be able to use the 2600 mAh battery and new door but, man, that's some nice battery capacity there!

Depends on how thick it makes the phone look. The 1600 doesn't make any changes so I thinking that's the one I'm going with. I wish there was an emergency charger for this phone. Someone on ebay claimed that they had one (ran on 1 AA battery) but it turned out to be for old BB when I got it. Just handed it over to my mom and he gave me a full refund.
If anyone has any pics of the 2600 please post. Its is piquing my interest

The 2600 ships the 9th. There are pics up on the Seidio site. Looks pretty bulky. Only $55 though, compared to $45 for the 1600. 3-4 mm seems to make a difference.
They also have a multi-function battery charger (charge your phone and a spare battery simultaneously), for anyone who is interested.....

They should have made the door smoother in shape and with the empty space, put in a couple sleeves for spare MicroSD cards.

I also have the clear Verizon hard case and I love it. If someone develops a similar hard case for the 2600 battery I will definitely buy one.
