The responses to my last typing issue with this new phone was incredible... so here's the next one.
When you're typing away, and you spell something, slang perhaps, that the bb suggests a correction for, how do you ignore the suggestion and keep going? When you hit space at the end of the word, it automatically accepts the suggested correction, which I don't want.
Hit the delete button and it will go back to what you actually wanted to type.
Also, to avoid it in the future (if it's a term you'll use in the future), click on the word (while it's underlined), then press the BB button and select "add to dictionary". It won't auto correct anymore once entered into your dictionary.
There's no easier way than backspacing and then spacing again?
If so, I might have to disable auto correction completely....
That's also an option. It was a little annoying the first week I had my phone, but once my 'slang terms' had been added into the dictionary, typing is a breeze now. Auto correct is now 99% of the time catching genuinely misspelled words, which is great, for me.
To ignore the suggestion you can press the return key (hard key with the back arrow on it) before you hit the space bar. That will eliminate the suggestion completely. After a while it becomes second nature to hit it quickly before hitting the space...
