same questions as the title? if u have already downloaded the leak .148, will there be any difference in the official os update? Or is the leak .148 & official coming sunday identical? And I wonder if i can do the ota upgrade even though i have .148 on my storm already???
The leaked and official are the same version. If any changes were done it would have a new version number. If you already have .148 installed on your device, when you go to do the OTA update it will say "No Updates Available" since you are using the latest version.

ahhh.... I think people are confusing the platform versions and the official OS line.
Really, I wouldn't pre-judge the .148 release until we get it. the leak version might not be the most up to date...like when we save MS Word docs, there's an autosave file on your desktop waiting to be saved. Well, same here. the .148 LEAKED might just be a autosave version someone released early. The official line WILL BE YOUR SAVED version.
Just my thoughts from the 8830 releases in the past.

they are the same, no difference. There are several people on here (Crucial, Radio, and others) that have confirmed this many many many times. If something were to change then it would not be .148 it would be something higher.

Leaked version is the same version Verizon was testing and just passed as official. It has been discussed plenty of times before. there is no difference.

It will be the same, the filename will probably even be identical except it will have _Verizon at the end. If there were any problems causing it not to pass, it just wouldn't have passed, plain and simple. VZW would have simply moved on to another build and tested that one. Development of 4.7.0.x ceased a couple of weeks ago at .22x; RIM has since moved on to 5.0. In the big picture of things, .148 is a rather old build.
I'm curious, has this been discussed many many times and plenty of times, or just multiple times? So, are they the same or are they just the same same?

many many, plenty plenty, quadrupile, way to many multiple times. They are positevely absolutely for sure no doubt about it the same same.

Paul, I hate to bicker here, but you're wrong, dead wrong. Crucial, Radio and others, have confirmed this "many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, MANY times!" LOL...I cannnot believe how many times this question is still asked, I think it's even worse than the "My VZW rep told me...." Don't people understand NUMBERS? ::: SIGH ::: Just goofin' with you, Paul.
Edit: Oh crap, no sooner did I post this when I see you reposted and added about as many "manys" (if not even more manys) than I did! You da' man!
