If u purchased the storm because u wanted an iphone type phone then you are a ****
- I don't care if i get flamed for this but i'm really sick of hearing ppl complaining and comparing the storm to the ijesus. I understand some of us being mad that the phone doesn't do some simple functions smoothly like text super fast because of the rebound of the screen but don't always say "well the iphone has....." Blackberries are intended to be business devices not virtual beer pourers or fart machines, so don't get mad when it doesn't have a 2000 app application center. If anything just be mad that the storm doesn't allow you to bang out an email as quickly as previous blackberries or that its the only blackberry that wasn't really an improvement to power users but a phone for mainstream consumers. Criticize the blackberry as a business device and not as an iphone killer. I'd much rather have a phone that considered a not too thought out business phone then have a phone that was meant to murder the ijesus but failed LOL. Ok im done rambling03-17-09 02:34 PMLike 0

- So you don't think that RIM was trying to capture some of the market success that the iPhone is currently enjoying by releasing a touch screen device similar to what has sold millions of units? OR you think that they actually believe, through extensive market research, their mainline business users need a touch / click screen to view and send their business emails while updating their facebook page with the app that came pre-installed.

I think you, my friend are in denial...to think that the storm was in NO way shape or form to be an Iphone competitor, thats just ignorant. Plain and simple. The Berries are meant business first, true. But honestly, The storm mimics the iphone....its obvious.. come on...I think your upset because you got the phone and realized it wasnt what you expected, you waited too long and now your stuck, so you want to wine and complain becuase your angry...Grow up...seriously03-17-09 03:00 PMLike 0 - So you don't think that RIM was trying to capture some of the market success that the iPhone is currently enjoying by releasing a touch screen device similar to what has sold millions of units? Hey man I agree with you...sort of. I just think the comparison is unfair. The iPhone/JesusPhone/miracle-of-the-new-world has had years to be worked and reworked. It wasn't perfect when it first came out either, in fact it was far from perfect. I agree that RIM should've done their homework better, since there was already a phone on the market that they wanted to compete with, and I agree that they need to get a REAL OS update out already. But it would be nice if people want to compare the Storm to the Holy-Grail-phone, then compare the Storm in it's current state, to the iPhone 5 months after it's original launch. Yes that's right haters, the Storm's only been out for 5 freaking months and only had 1 OS update. The fixes have been slow, it's true. RIM needs to step up?...yes, also true. But the iphone is on like it's 3rd hardware version, and who knows how many OS upgrades, so how do you make a comparison between the two? It doesn't make sense.03-17-09 04:57 PMLike 0 - I don't care if i get flamed for this but i'm really sick of hearing ppl complaining and comparing the storm to the ijesus. As a business phone, it completely sucks. It is an ill-conceived, poorly thought out, poorly executed, poorly functioning, poorly supported error machine. The only area where it performs really well, is as a dust collector. If you own a business and rely on this ham-handed mess of a phone, your business is probably going to close soon and go bankrupt, unless your business is to collect and preserve dust.
Happy now?03-17-09 05:46 PMLike 0 - Fair enough. The Storm is intended to be a business phone, and is not to be compared to the iPhone. Okay.

- CrackberrykillsThe CBKI love how these type of threads always start with caveat "I may get flamed for this but..." Just an observation.03-17-09 06:34 PMLike 0

- I'm pretty sure that apple will get sued for letting kids access porn sites so they may do something to "block" those type of sites I will lol if this true. Majority of people with iphones are kids that I have seen. I guess I will call it a secure flash. You get flash but not the whole package. Or in this case porn but obviously someone will figure out how to go pass it. Go storm!
