Can I use it with sprint as well, or is it just the sim slot I am unlocking, therefore only allowing me to switch to at&t and t mobile? Input is much appreciated.

It's just the SIM (or GSM side) that gets unlocked. You won't get any Verizon device to work in Sprint or vice versa.

Sprint won't activate it. Unlocking only allows you to use it on GSM networks sorry.
