    Try registering with the network. Options, advanced options, then host routing then press the blackberry button and select register device.

    yeah, it doesn't sounds like you have registered. The browser is basically "hidden" until you have registered the phone, and the service with your carrier.

    I had the same problem when setting up a phone for an employee a few weeks back. It sure was a learning experience.
