For absolutely no reason other than I said that I would in another post (http://forums.crackberry.com/f100/to...de-how-189848/) and did a simple How To.

I'll clean it up a little tomorrow, as I am ready to get out of this office now.

    Have fun.

well now that doesn't look like it's hard does it?
The real trick would be to put it back together again and it would work!

Kind of interesting to see the insides.
Prolly should have an asterisk disclaimer. Something like only trained professionals should attempt this, or similar.
    Thanks for sharing.

Storm is the easiest phone to take apart and reassemble. 6 T6's and it falls apart.

    V3s were more complicated.

Note: you will need to remove the Red/White "DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL" label to access the 2nd screw.

True. I probably put should a disclaimer up because I can see someone breaking something then trying to say that I need to replace it for them. Ill get that added. Thanks.

I don't think the storm is the easiest to take apart completely.

    8900 IMO is easier
    87 series too
    And the 88's.
IMO Storm is probably one of the most difficult to take apart.
Guarentee somewhere someone tried it and left in either the camera screws or or front screws.

Most difficult IMO has to be the 8350i.

The mid-screws that hold in the side bars are impossible to get to.

    Elves musta built that one.

Exactly. I wanted to be a little more sarcastic and humours, but being that I put it on a company blog, I figured I should behave.

why would anyone waste their time doing this if there is nothing wrong with the phone?

because if you want to know how to do it WHEN something is wrong it requires knowing what a functioning storm looks like, etc. same reason when you have knee surgery, they MRI both knees to see what they're supposed to look like.

The thing about the label was funny but my favorite part is

"Note, when re-assembling the device, just do these steps backwards."

    Heh.
I didn't have time to post a step by step re-assembly before I left out of the office, so figured that would be the easiest. ;-)
