I had a blackberry 8830 and thought it was the best phone ever, Till the STORM came out! Now, I have the storm, going back to the 8830 seems like going back to the middle ages!! The problem is, I tried putting it up for sale on craigs list and other places!! NO one wants the 8830!! Anyone want to buy this phone??? Contact me ! BB message me if you have any suggestions!

I've got a 8820 and I do think its the best phone ever. However, I would think that the people on this site want the next new thing. You might want to try ebay.

Yep, I went to blackberry.flipswap.com and signed up.

I sent my old phones in (2 treo 650s, an 8703e and a Curve).
I got $215 total for those 4 phones... I was happy to get that much as they were basically just trashing up a closet in our house.

My 8830 had a broken usb port so I took the phone apart just to see what it looked like inside...

The biggest issue is that on the VZW site it shows $99 for the phone after MIR for a 2yr contract. On eBay, before the Storm came out, you could fetch about $150 for the phone depending on the condition and accessories. Now people are barely getting $100 for them. I was going to sell mine on eBay but after I saw the small bid prices I decided against it. It would be funny to go back to it, but if I have to I know that I have a great backup phone.

I wish I could use it as a backup phone for the storm but it is sprint. And sprint sux!

What you can do is go to dubya, dubya, dubya dot (Gazelle) dot com, they were quick,paid for shipping it took me about 2 weeks from the time i sent my pearl out to when my check came. I got $72 for my item too. Suffice it to say I was very happy. Sure beats the alternatice, meeting up with some buyer in a wierd part of town, at some odd hour. Or worst having them come to your house...
