I got the latest OS download for the Storm 9530 off the Verizon site last week.
For some reason I decided to try and download off a filesharing site last night.
Its NEVER worked until lastnight! I downloaded a 1.5mb file from Mediafire.
And a 6.5mb file from ZShare! Before you say I'm lying TRY IT. It WORKS!
I don't know about that, but I have downloaded MP4 video files to my mem card from a certin site that lets you. I have downloaded files up to 20 MB using Opera

post a link and I'm sure others will try iyt and report backon sucess/failure
you were using the BB brower correct, not a third party one?
It is odd because my understaning is that this is a BIS/BES limit not an OS Limit
That limit has always been 5mb so its a little surprising on the larger file but not so much on the smaller one. The way programs like Podtrapper got around it was by chunking the file into 5mb pieces and downloading the individual pieces but I thought the server hosting the file had to support that feature. Anyways, maybe that is what the blackberry browser is doing now on its own.
Try larger files. You'll get the 403 Forbidden Error soon enough, with the Details indicating that the requested entity is too large. WTF RIM... it's 2009, get off the Proxy rate limiting already hobos!
