I bet no more leaks for the 9550 until the 6.0 comes out. Too many other leaks and they keep skipping over the Storm2.

I hope so. I was thinking the same thing but the leeks have been dropping for the bolds and Curves left and right by passing the 9550. Like you all said there is OSs out there but no one wants to share. I think 6.0 will be out within 60 days if the 9800 slider will have it on it and will be out soon.

Yeah maybe you should avoid the Casinos then.... There was a lull, but RIM has not just stopped OS work for the 9550s...

the problem is the 9530/9550 is not as popular as the others like the curve or bold. so ... we dont get them as often

It may also have to do with the uniqueness of the Storm series, it being the only non-keyboard BlackBerry and all.

I don't get that. Isn't the radio chip or part pretty much the same on the BBs? And if you can get parts of other BBs OS and blend them into hybrids, I would think that it would be easier to make an OS for the S2. Anyway, it is not like the make leaps and bounds everything we get a leak or an official OS. Why not just add little things to the existing OS? that should not be too hard, I would think.

I am rocking OOAK 517/692 and I would love a better radio. 607 was dropping too many calls for me. I don't use BM so I did not have keyboard issue.

My Storm is the best phone I've ever owned, but if you're looking for 6.0 to be some type of holy grail that will fix everything and give you tons of apps and incredible web browsing, you might want to start looking at new devices. RIM is in the data security and email business. It cracks me up that so many people buy a BB and then are mad because it doesn't do things like an iphone does. It's like buying a diesel truck because you need to pull a trailer, and then being dis-satisfied because it doesn't handle the curves like your neighbors corvette.

What? Did I say I was dissatisfied with the phone? or that I thought the 6.0 was going it turn my S2 into a super phone? I hope that Rim does not go to a Iphone layout, for one. I like the way the phone is working 99% of the time.

Sorry...probably a bit too cranky today. I'm just tired of seeing all these stupid threads (and this isn't one of them...hence my apology) where everybody is threatening to leave bb if 6.0 doesn't fix...blah, blah, blah. Like anybody here really cares whether or not someone gets a different phone.

As to your original post, I think we'll see more leaks. We're just experiencing a temporary dry spell.

I for one must be in the minority because I truly believe we may have seen the end of leaks for awhile.It makes no sense for VZW to test anything knowing that 6.0 will be given to them for testing in a couple of months. There is not a chance in helll of VZW passing another 5.0 build.

That being said there are still Bell, Telus, and Saktel who might just be testing a higher 6xx build. I think it was Bell that released .517 with the 9550. They might just push something before 6.0 comes out.

Leaks might slow for the 9700, 9630, and 85xx Curves because most if not all of them should get 6.

The 9550 has been an continues to be the red headed stepdevice of the Blackberry community. So unless the northern carriers find it in their hearts to release something higher than .607 we are pretty well screwed.
