Yeah you have to click menu, get images. Its a real pain. Software glitch? My options are also set to get images automatically.
I posted the exact same question a couple days ago. It was explained to me that images are not automatically downloaded in HTML emails as a built-in security feature of the Storm. I think it's annoying as well and that the user should be able to decide, but it is what it is. As far as the setting allowing automatic downloads of images, I'm not sure what that actually does lol!
if the images are "imbeded" in the email they will automatically load because you have the setting for images downloaded automatically. However if the images are ones that are not imbeded......in other words they might be "linked" images that will require you to manually retrieve them.....this is a security issue because retrieving those types of images may expose your email address in the process, so they give you that option for security. All Blackberrrys work that way.
thanks Dawg357 -- I had a feeling the auto download option had to do with embedded images, but wasn't certain
I get an email from my local radio station each day that has images as a part of the "layout" of the email, but the actual content images don't load. I'm not sure if there is some sort of size limit on it, because all the layout images are pretty small, just a logo and some borders and stuff, but the big images are 40-100kb so it might just limit by size...
They probably just not embedrd I get emails where some images show up and others don't. Thanks for this post I ws at a loss as to what was happening there

That would not only make sense, but confirm what others are saying about embedded images showing up but not linked images. I would imagine that the logo would be an embedded image since it's part of the template of the email while the content images would be added as needed and not embedded.
I am a ebay powerseller and need a device to respond to emails from ebay buyers. I bought the new storm, but when i get emails from ebay, they do not have the respond box for me to reply. can anyone help me with this. is there a setting i need to change or software i need to download. thanks
Do you think you will get a response by posting this everywhere?
