Well, I don't have the storm yet, so i haven't been able to discover for myself how to use the SureType keyboard(i've never used a pearl either).

So, how does it work? is it just like a regular flip phone's keyboard with three letters, except with two(like to you push the key twice to make it the 2nd letter? Or how does it work?

    thanks!

You can do either multi-tap (like you're describing) or T9.

oh ok... Is that a setting thing? since i don't like T9... so do i just go to settings and make it multi-tap?

Yes, yoy can simply switch between multi-tap and suretype.

k, just making sure. I'll probably just keep it in multi-click. T9 messes me up and i don't like it that much lol.

    again, thanks for the help!

the thing is, it has 2 letters per key as opposed to 3, so the guesses that suretype makes are far more accurate (less keys makes for less guess work)...trust me on this though, spend at least a day or two trying to learn suretype and you'll never want to multi tap again; with enough practice you could type just as fast as with qwerty

When I got my PEARL, I was told by a Sales Rep how to learn to use it, Cover the screen with a business card and type away. As stupid as it sounded, it worked. With very few typos. On the storm, I use the full size keyboard mostly, and it still does well on most of my grammer mistakes. now if my laptop had sure type it might really save me time in correcting my posts But I DO LIKE SURE TYPE.
