Sorry, BB newbie here.

I'm having difficulty transferring movies/ringtones/music/photos to my Storm.

The Media Manager button does not illuminate.

And I have access to two removable disc drives under My Computer but when I double click on them, it asks me to insert media.

Help please?

You're not in the mass media mode. There are numerous threads regarding this. Please search. If you're still having issues, the BB may be prompting you for a password, so please check that as well.

Is there any disadvantage to having mass media mode on? Are there certain things that require mass media mode to be off in order to function?
