I tried to used shrink Os but it gives me an error message every time I use it. Are there any other programs that will allow me to remove unnecessary files?

Also can I just go into my Os folder and remove the files I do not want. Then use Apploader??

What error are you getting, it has worked for me everytime.

you need to point the directory to

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.XXX_P4.0.0.XXX

    or

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.XXX_P4.0.0.XXX

and not the actually java folder.

THe problem is starting the program. I get a windows error message. I have tried several times and rebooted. Is there another program that does something similar?

If you're getting an 'exception error failed to initialize' message make sure you have .net framework by microsoft installed.
