I updated a demo Storm here at the Verizon store while waiting for mine. I upgraded OTA from .61 to .65. Took about 10mins.

No, I have that same version and have the wireless upgrade option.
I think its because you are not on BES. Possible?

The "Wireless upgrade" will only show up if an upgrade is available. If your phone already has .65 then it won't be there.

Mine doesn't show a "Wireless Upgrade" option either. I'm on the 4.0.0.82 platform with the 4.7.0.65 OS.

Sorry, but that is wrong. I have the Wireless Upgrade option and when I click "check for upgrade" it says "No Upgrades Available".

Mine does have the Wireless Upgrade option now. I don't know where it came from because it certainly wasn't there earlier but it indeed is there now.

The rep claims there were different versions of the OS loaded on Storm's sold today.

I was told to go to na.blackberry.com/eng/update to check for any newer device OS.

I did this and the message that I got was my device software was newer than what is posted on the blackberry site. I am currently running v4.7.0.65 (platform 4.0.0.82) and I do NOT have the wireless update option.

I am curious to see what reponse Storm users get from the update site that do have the wireless update option.

Personally, it seems counterintuitive that I have the newest verison but yet don't have the wireless update feature installed.

I think the people that have it, didn't screw up and downgrade their platform (not OS). I had it earlier than after doing some kind of update that came up when I clicked one of the links I found on here (It "upgraded" my desktop manager but downgraded my platform from .82 to .76. Now the link is missing. I'm working on reinstalling the verizon software that they just put on their website. I'll let you know if it fixes this.

I have platform .82 and don't have the wireless update option. This is the verison that came with my phone. The option was never on my phone out of the box.

You said you had it (.82 before?) but lost it when you (inadvertantly) downgraded to platform .76.

So we know some Storm's with both platforms are lacking the wireless options.
