Try downloading BITPIM ... that might let you do it.

I first downloaded the Backup Assistant and ran it on my dare.
Then went to the website and and save page as HTML and as a Text file.
    Opened a Google email account.
On the Storm downloaded google sync.
Then I copied and pasted the names and numbers to the Contact file on Google.
Synced the Blackberry and now have my 255 numbers on my phone.
Sounds terrible I know but it beat manually inputting the numbers again.

I think that Backup assistant used to offer the option of exporting your contacts as a CSV file (the files used for contacts) but no longer.

A Verizon tech will do it for free in 5 minutes, just tell them you have the backup assistant and they'll waive the $10 fee.

I'm thinking , by hand, is the only way if you aren't able to go to a verizon store.

I personally went thru the same thing when I got my storm 2 months ago.

I had close to 100 contacts on my Venus and dreaded putting them all into my phone.

At first I only did the contacts I use most, then eventually I caved in and logged into backup asst. and put the rest in by hand as well.

Have fun! Or if you figure out another way, be sure to share!!!

I tried that with my Voyager didn't work. Honestly just go to Verizon Store or Best Buy and get it done for free it will save you a **** ton of problems. (That and while you are there you can pick up a screen protector (from BestBuy that is and they will install on the Storm for free!)

    OFF Topic--but...

What are your thoughts on Dare Vs Storm..

I almost got the Dare, it really looks cool and I guess it is in its own way. 2 of my friends have it tho and I was bored after playing with it just a few times.

I'm sooooooo thankful for the Storm! Never boring and just keeps getting better!

Theres bound to be some sort of Self Owned Cell Phone store, or something along those lines, any place that sells verizon, a small kiosk, or one of those places that has all AT&T, SPRINT, TMOBILE, VERIZON all in one store. They typically rent the machines and might charge 10 bucks to cover the cost of renting the machine.

I came from the Dare. Good phone, but now that I'm hooked on a BB I'd never go back. The screen was a good size at the time but in hindsight it seems small. Etc etc. It all seemed great and I loved it, but then it didn't handle the very overloaded towers near DC well after I moved so I got the Storm. I wouldn't have switched phones at all if it weren't for that but now I'm glad I did. The Dare is a good phone, but it's a phone with a browser. The BB is a mini computer, ya know? Which reminds me I need to get my crap together and post the Dare on eBay. Selling my phones is always a breeze because I baby them so much. lol. Well and I only had it for like 4 months.
