Given the fact the Storm has been out for about 6 months and your personal levels of satisifaction with the device (positive or negative) how many would buy the product today?
Reply with No or Yes - and how long you owned the phone - would be nice to know what was your previous phone
I for one would not - had it since its 1st day on the market. Reverted back to a Treo 700 my previous mobile
Current tally - 43 no - 92 Yes
One more item worth mentioning - Apps World - was that worth waiting for?
Eh, I don't think I would have bought it at this point in time knowing what i do know.
But, if I still had the "knowledge" i'd be more willing to purchase one if they had released a new firmware update for it.
I probably would. Ive been fairly lucky with my storm and havent had too many problems. Then again, I think I had .75 on my phone for a total of 30 minutes before I upgraded to a leak.
When I was looking at phones I narrowed my choices to a wm phone, an iphone, or a Bold. I didn't have mush interest in the Storm. It seemed like a bad attempt to be both a bold and the iphone, but only incorporating the worst features of both instead of the best.
What I really wanted was a Bold with windows mobile, but the Bold itself was the next best thing.
I bought this phone early, then started to hate it. But with the OS leaks that Ive installed its turned out to be the best phone Ive owned. I assume that most of the people that are still complaining are still on .75, and dont know that a fast stable OS even exists.
At this point I really dont have any complaints (except that its only a 2nd rate PDA).
I like it much better than my last WinMobile phone, it has a much better UI, much better screen, internet, email, ......ect
Short answer... Yes, the Storm is the best phone that I have ever owned (and I've had a few), even with the OS issues which I'm sure will be resolved in time.
I only bought the storm when I did because my pearl died. I was going to buy a storm in August anyways so i replaced the pearl with the storm. I like it but there are times when it really gets on my nerves. I'm waiting for an official verizon SW upgrade. Ask this question again after that. If that release doesn't fix the issues then I'll be really pissed.
No, too many problems and has defeated the purpose of a BB which is to be able to get a lot done quickly given a short period of time. Hopefully the Niagara will be better.
I've had my storm for 2 months and I would purchase it again. In my opinion its the best touch screen on Verizon and besides getting random reboots at least once per day I still like it.

No. Have had mine since day before Thanksgiving. Considering what was available @ that time, it was the best Verizon choice. If I had been able to stay with AT & T, I was trying to decide between the Bold and the iPhone.
