I'm quite confused here. Why are you idiots trashing Rican for claiming his boot time when the device is CLEAN? So, you want him to WIPE ALL OF HIS APPS off the phone and do a clean boot and video it, JUST so you can see him "prove it?" Ok, the children are out to play once again...

So you've claimed. Yet, mysteriously, you've avoided like the plague presenting any evidence thereof. End it.

I've owned (between my wife and I) no less than 8 Storms (1 and 2). Even when "clean" I've not seen a boot time less than roughly 3 minutes. If Rican's phone can boot in a minute or less, he is one special guy!

Though others have claimed that he said that, I still haven't seen the post.

Between 215 and 230 is what I've gotten with a brand new, clean device (.607).

I'm envious of anyone who's S2/607 can boot in about 2 minutes.

.517 with .705v2 hybrid on mine and it boots clean around 1.5 - 2 min. with apps installed it's a little higher, but not much.

.517 plays nicer with boot times.

remember, all those apps I listed were all loaded in my first storm 2.... hense the 10 minute reboot time! So when you have a sick process like that and them you open a clean new storm 2 only to see it boot so quickly, it amazes you! Its trivial to argue about whether its 1 minute or 2. The point is it was fast, especially in contrast to a storm that was loaded with everything but the kitchen sink!

as for "TheOne" I dont know his gripe, but he is determined and therefore ignores what I actually said, even after I quoted it for him. I guess some people are good at correcting ones spelling but not good at reading all together

Dude, just ignore him, he's a "troll" that has nothing better to do with his time than to constantly cut on others, check his posts and you'll see what I mean. I don't think to date I've read any of his posts that were in any way helpful to anyone, he just pops in and makes some "snide-a$$" remark and then leaves until someone replies to his $hit and then he wants to start something, take it with a grain of salt and just consider the source AFL.

Actually, you used the wrong quote. This is the quote that I'm referring to:

the phone boots up quick when you have no programs on it, lol. When I first rebooted my replacement, it took about 30 seconds. But now I'm back to 5-8 minutes with all my apps installed and 30 - 40mb file free
Once again, No way that thing booted up in 30 seconds. All these days later, it's still a lie!

Finally got my replacement S2 (with stock .607). Reboot time, after installing all my original apps manually, is about 2:50 with 123.4MB remaining. I'm not complaining - yet (knock on wood).

I haven't timed since finally trying .607. Previously I only used .517 based hybrids, but I finally jumped to a .607 hybrid and my boot time seems like it doubled.

That's why I went back the .517 base with any hybrid, for some reason the it boots much faster.

Actually besides boot up, this .607 hybrid is probably the best OS i've had on this phone. Memory is excellent, battery life is good, I think the browser is a little faster and the phone runs smooth. While the boot time sucks I will deal with it for now.
