how do i get the message icon of the top left of my screen can't figure out what is triggering it to stay on checked my text my mms my email and call log what the ****

Check your messages folder or reset the phone. If you use visual voicemail, mine seems to bug out like this as well.

check in your games folder, there should be a message folder in there that has 3 messages from blackberry. thats where mine were

I had that problem on my Storm and old Pearl. I did a battery pull but left it out for about 5 minutes. That did the trick for me

I think I was having a similar problem and it turned out to be indicating missed calls.

If all of the above failed, do a battery pull. Mine did that once and I had no messages that hadn't been read or heard. Battery pull worked.

I think I was having a similar problem and it turned out to be indicating missed calls.

Same here! You have to open the call log and open the missed calls, (indicated by a yellow handset) once you open it, it goes away.
