    Whenever I wipe my phone and install an OS, my phone seems to remember my email settings. How is this possible?

    Do you do a back up before and restore after the OS load?

    or, do you prevent it from doing a backup before and restore after doing an OS upgrade?

    If you mean the email's you setup via BIS, those would be restored when your phone registers on the blackberry network.

    Same would apply to BES registered accounts.

    Bingo. The email account association comes from pushed service books that are associated to your ESN/MEID and PIN.

    Just realized that when I loaded up my new replacement Storm and it asked to revert my settings from my old pin to my new. Thanks guys. That's cool!
