For some reason over the last two or three weeks my 9550 has been duplicating records over and over. So I have four sets of the same contact. I managed to delete the copies using Contact Cleaner but now I've come to realize that many of my email address, addresses and phone numbers are all mixed up.
I tried to use my desktop manager to restore my contacts but they are greyed out and can't be restored. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thank you for the help. Once I unchecked the sync option for gmail, the grey went away and I was able to restore my contacts. I turned off the sync function so this doesn't happen again.

If you want to sync your contacts with Google, I have found that the Google Sync app works MUCH better than the builtin feature included with the email settings. There is also an option to sync your calendar with your online Google one.
