No need to wipe the handhelp before doing the install. However, if you have installed the "leaked" version of OS .75, then please uninstall it from your computer before installing this onto your computer. Also, when you are done installing, go into the Apploader folder and delete the vendor.xml file. When you have completed all those steps, make sure you are NOT connected to the internet. Because if you are, it will look for a version of the OS and tell you that you have the most updated version. When you are not connected, it will use the .76 version.

Yeah - you cannot be lazy when you are screwing around with updating the BlackBerries operating system - it can render it useless and from there it's a lot more fight to restore it to a working condition.
If you don't know what you are doing or where to go etc you need to search!
The the other person said "wow" because you are posting several questions after another - just EDIT the previous post you made and add it there so people don't have to keep scrolling down the page to read the next comment. No reason to call them names
I did a wipe. I did uninstall all old Versions, I deleted the vendor file... but when I choose to install .76 it will still say I have the most current update on my device....
If you are using Desktop Manager 4.7 you may need to disconnect from the internet to start the update. 4.7 checks online to see if your device is using the current version and whether the update is appropriate for your carrier.
