Can you elaborate on the "special sync setup or BES" please??

Hi everybody, new Blackberry user here. I have been searching for an answer to this issue and found your forum. I have the issue in this thread with both Hotmail and Lotus Notes. Emails deleted on the Storm inbox disappear from the Hotmail / Notes inboxes but notes deleted from the Notes / Hotmail inboxes stay in the Storm inbox. Any help appreciated.
