yes very annoying!
Sure -- went to 4x4 and it came back (the wrong notifications).
Changed back to default and everything is running okay.
So...anyone else?
I switched back to 4x4 and still good for me, going to leave it on 4x4 till i get the bug again if ever.
Did you ever clear the folder cache? On home screen go to Menu/Options, reset icon arrangement.

Wow. This really seems to work, sweet!

Hi, just curious.... How do you get the GPS lock on?? When I want to take a picture with GEO tagging, I first open the GPS functions to locate. But when I see your screencaptures, there is the white GPS icon?!?!

I did a security wipe (easier to restore my data than play around re-arranging the current folders)...and the bug still existed on 4x4.
Surprisingly my App Memory was only at 49.7, I was hoping to get something in the 60's like others had said they've seen =/
You can restore your folder arrangement regardless of that or not. The issue may be that if you have themes loaded, the preferences for those themes may still remain on the handheld unless an OS upgrade takes place. I know several things that remain (even after a wipe) that won't go away unless you jump versions in OS. (i.e. I can delete the wallpaper file for example and then update the phone, but unless I downgrade to a previous version, strip the wallpaper cod file and then upgrade to another OS, the pics will still be there.) Because of this, it's my belief that other stuff remains as well. This is one of the reasons why I haven't started to use themes yet. No stable enough OS has hit for me to start doing so and the current version of Plazmic that people are using is buggy as heck as well. Until that all gets fixed, I don't trust any current theme to be bug free. This perticular issues may just be because of such an issue for you. Backup the phone, uninstall the 3rd party themes and reset the theme defaults on the main OEM theme and reset icon arrangement. If the problem persists, then we know it's definitely something with 4x4. I can't duplicate this and another user on here a few posts above indicated that the problem went away and hasn't come back even after reverting back to 4x4. There's a variable somewhere that we are missing here. If it's something related to a 3rd party theme or otherwise, then it may be out of the OS's control... to some extent anyway.
Things I can verify:
- This bug happens to my phone fairly regularly.
- This happens in OS' as early as .75 (my current Storm is running that).
- This is not theme related (I have 0 themes installed and have not used them on this phone).
- I currently have 4x4 arrangement.
- I have reloaded .75 and the issue remains.
I just set the icon arrangement back to default, so we'll see if the bug returns. Also worth noting is that default arrangement loads folders with many icons ALOT faster than 4x4 does. :)
Well all of yesterday i had it setback to 4x4 and the bug did not come back yet, so just by setting it to default (i think for half a day or so) then back to 4x4 has gotten rid of it for me. (knocking on wood right now).
I have tried themes in the past, and did not like how they hog the phone down, the phone is slow enough without themes let alone with one, but this bug was always there when i did try themes out.
I cant try it with a theme now cause im not putting any back on my phone until they can make them faster (which will probably be never), but i dont think it is theme related as it has been there with and without themes before.
Doing this switch from 4x4 to default then back again is the first ive ever heard anyone mention it to try and its actually the first time it has ever worked. Ive tried wiping the phone completely in the past only to have the bug come back.
Are you sure that's it? Do you receive lots of emails? That's strange it hasn't come back.
This has been going on in 4x4 for me since I got the phone in January, did not load any custom themes until March. This morning when I wiped I made sure there were no themes (seemed to be just BIS set up and the stuff on my memory card)....and it still showed up on 4x4 but not default.
Do you think wiping with JDCLMR (or whatever it's called) will help?
I do receive lots of emails and txts. And as of yesterday the bug returned on 4x4 so i switched back to default. It doesnt bother me if the icons are a little bigger or whatever default actually does, i just dont want to deal with the bug anymore and it seems to never happen when its set at default.
So YES, it did come back for me when i switched it back to 4x4.
Update - I've been on default (from 4x4) for 9 days and the issue has not returned at all!
