0.2.20 is now up, I've no idea if this will work for anyone else or not

I've changed, almost completely, the way contacts are being cached in FaceCall's memory space.
Loaded 0.17 and no names and counted 75 of 102 contacts. Will try 0.20 now.

0.2.17 was broken... although it was interesting that only 75 of 102 loaded...

If the current method of reading/writing to memory still fails to read/write all contacts, I have stored all the contacts in memory as bytes rather than letting the compiler or java runtime do it for me, so this will be trivial to read/write all contacts to a data file on the internal or SD micro storage and to he!! with RIMs APIs!

I've lost count of how many ways I've tried to skin this cat but it'll succeed one way or another

For me, 2.20 loads very slow still, after adding the address book. Out of 233 contacts, I have between 98 and 84 show up starting at the N's and sometimes the M's (Random). Did several cache dumps and reloads and it remains consistant.

Weird about the inconsistency, but on to plan B (or are we up to C, D, or E by now?)

Me too. 0.2.20 is the same as previous versions (except for 0.2.18 which was more like a memory card game...).

Loaded 0.20, upon first opening, no names, 84 of 102. Erased cashe, reloaded contacts, now names and 87 of 102 A-part of C's missing.

0.2.22 is up, this uses a binary file on the file system, let me know if contacts are still being truncated.

Hmmm...no required reboot. Initiated program, get "module handle 1304 not found"

The reboots are due to RIM paradigms, as for that, I have no idea sounds like something went screwy somewhere during install.

I've changed, almost completely, the way contacts are being cached in FaceCall's memory space.
I get P-Z ON first load about 72 contacts.
Second reload gives me N-Z, 75 contacts.
Third reload gets me M-Z, 87 contacts.
Fourth reload is same as third, M-Z about 75 contacts.
    Hope this helps.

Nah it would of complained about a bad file, or a 500 error or something similar.

Ok...your right must have been a bad install.

Anyway had to load contacts upon opening....87 of 102, with names, missing A-C just like I said in previous load.

We are here when ya wake

Also I just installed "leaked" OS 0.90, so if me helping is an issue LMK, other than that I will keep helping until you say so. Do not want to add confusion to things....

FYI - During my "help" I have been using 0.85.

    oh btw Delta
When I ran the app (The newest one available) it only gives me ten rows.
    so 30 Contacts total.

    BUTTTTT
it loads LIGHTNING QUICK and is amazing!!!
    With pictures!!

If after all this fine-tuning, the app can be this fast and this cool, FaceCall would be a huge success!

Btw... i kinda like having just 30. Unfortunately it's the first 30 alphabetically from my contacts... but if i could choose the 30 most contacted people and keep it this way, that'd be cool.
But i know this was discussed a while back.
Just reporting in on how amazing this app looks when it's fast!

Great product and thanks for all of your hard work. .2.31 does take a long time to load. Also, I am not getting any of the pictures that are associated with the contacts. After letting it fully load, I am getting pictures and it is working smoothly as long as it stays open.

I am seeing the same results with this build. I am getting all my contacts. It's a little slow to load the first time, but I leave it running in the background, so its lighting quick after the first time I launch it. Great release and its running smoothly on .90.
