the white screens are my attempt at getting a layout with sort/filter buttons on either side of the screen, with a 3x3 layout in the middle, so far mediocre luck...
Intentional, I want to have the code rotate the icons, rather than the screen rotate. Although at this stage it might be easier to redo the button layout and/or do it twice, but that would waste lots of memory if people have lots of contacts hmmm.
Although the current system wouldn't be any less wasteful technically, and would be the reason some people are seeing lag during start up if they have lots of contacts.
Oh and in any case figuring out the accelerometer will be required to deal with the rotation or screen re-layout... Which will require me to do some swatting up tomorrow to figure it all out...
Maybe the reason it takes so long for me is because all my contacts. I have about 1,100 and most have at least two phone numbers, email, and at least one address but sometimes two!

I'm guessing that's the case and I'm trying to think of the best way to handle things differently now.
That's probably only because he disabled landscape mode for now. I'm sure that when the program will work in landscape mode, you will be able to type in landscape mode.
i have noticed that when you pic sms that you can only type message in portrait, landscape does not work
can this be fixed?
Weird, I didn't think me locking the rotation on one app would effect anything else, actually that's cool, now I can lock some pesky screens that keep bugging me!
On another note I'll stick in some code to try and prevent this.
Oh in future just so things are clear if the release is a bug fix or a new feature release:
if I add a feature I'll increment 0.x.0 minor number
if it's just bug fixing, I'll just increment 0.0.x
great program I been following it since the beginning your doing a great job and really quick with updates.
Also I downloaded CDk and been playing around with themes for the bold since I don't think the storm is supported yet, but what program are you using to write this application with just curious as I would like to try my hand in developing some apps. Thanks

Just the RIM Java Development Environment (JDE) 4.7, I don't think anyone can make Storm themes yet, something about Plazmic not being released for 4.7.
